I am the happy wife of Jim and mother of three boys, Adam, David, and Noah. Life with three active boys keeps me busy and is never boring!
I grew up moving – New Jersey, Tennessee, and Florida. On one move to Niceville, FL, I had a Sunday School teacher who shared the gospel with me. As a third grader, I asked Jesus to forgive me of my sins and vowed to live for Him. I have seen His faithfulness to me, even when I was not faithful.
After settling in North Port, FL, I graduated from Lemon Bay H. S. in Englewood, FL. I attended Manatee Community College on a volleyball scholarship after high school. Then I transferred to Presbyterian College in Clinton, SC, to play volleyball and get a B.A. degree in English, with minors in Education and Sports Coaching. I taught in the public schools for 8 years—grades 9 and 8—and coached volleyball at Newberry High School for 6 of those years. During that time I graduated from the University of South Carolina with a M.Ed. in English Education.
God brought us to Faith in 1996, shortly after the birth of Adam. We have watched our family and church family grow over the years.
God has used my formal education and my volunteer work with Community Bible Study to mold me for my present job. I became the Director of Children’s Ministries on Jan. 1, 2006. Who could ask for a better job? My first day was a holiday! Plus I get to share Jesus with kids every week!
