Classes for Fall 2008

Bible I & II 
These two classes are a continuation of the 8 year cycle we began 6 years ago, to go “through the Bible” with comprehensive studies of every book in the Bible.  This quarter we will be studying the New Testament book of Acts.  This “history” book of the birth and growth of the early church is loaded with insights for our growth today.  We actually will follow the growth of the church from Jerusalem to Judea to Samaria and to the uttermost parts of the earth.  Bible I will be taught by Josh Caughman.  Bible II will be taught by Mike Fowlkes, Charlie Marra, and Mike Easterday.

The Doctrine of Mankind and Sin
This class continues our Doctrine track which is offered every Fall quarter.  Our culture would have us believe that we are all basically “good” and that we are capable of turning out OK.  This class will look into Scripture and we’ll see it is really just the opposite.  However, there is Good News after the bad news.  This class will be taught by John Harvey.

Faith Encounters 
This class is for all who want to know more about Faith Church, especially those who desire to be received into church membership. This class, taught twice a year, will introduce you to our church as we cover our history, our beliefs, our denomination (Presbyterian Church in America), our form of government, officers, staff organization, and ministries. There will also be opportunities presented to assist you in “growing through Faith”. This class will be taught by Dr. Karl McCallister with assistance from the Staff and Elders.
