Growing Through Faith
25 Years of Building His Church

On May 20, 2007, our Growing Through Faith (GTF) celebration was held. At that celebration, GTF was explained and those in attendance were asked to join in our efforts to continue the building of Faith Church. One of the commitments that you were
asked to support was prayer.

The vision for Faith Church included the following:

  • Further develop our Children's Ministry
  • Provide "Mornings Out for Moms"
  • Continue to grow our Youth Ministry
  • Finally retire our debt
  • Address the administrative needs of our growing body
  • Richly enhance and facilitate the worship of our God
  • Provide a viable Christian counseling ministry

Since the beginning of the GTF initiative at Faith Church, God has blessed us continuously.  This simply would not have occurred without your prayers. Thank you for being obedient and honoring your pledge to pray.  All of the leadership here at Faith Church
is in total agreement that the continued growth of our body is directly related to the time we spend praying to God for His direction in the building of His church.

Currently there are many opportunities for corporate prayer at Faith church:  Wednesday evening “20/20” at 6:30, Sunday morning prayer at 9:00, during ABF classes, Sunday “Prayer Closet” during morning worship service, and Missions Prayer the 2nd Wednesday of each month at 7:45 p.m.  You can also walk and pray on the Prayer Trail. I am asking you to be involved in one or more of these efforts as your schedule permits.

From a personal perspective, please continue to pray for the requests on our weekly Prayer and Praise bulletin and listings on
Faith Church’s website.  Pray for our country each Thursday at 12:00 noon.  Many Christian organizations have joined the effort to pray for revival in America and the world.  We are praying for God to bring us all to repentance and turn to Him in a mighty way. Read about the Fulton Street Revival to see how God used one man to bring revival to America in the mid 1800’s, and to view the “Call to Corporate Prayer."

Join an intercessory prayer team that will commit to regular prayer for those who request prayer through use of our new prayer cards available in the pews.

Finally, consider praying and fasting  (see our Suggestions for Fasting) for our 25 days of Prayer and Fasting beginning Saturday, November 1 and culminating at our Wednesday, November 26th Thanksgiving eve service celebrating 25 years of God’s blessing of our sanctuary building.

That’s all for now.  I’ll let God’s word close:  “If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek
My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land.” (2 Chronicles 7:14)
